Clementine
III AUBRY

At the crossroads between visual and living arts, Clementine Aubry's work questions the relationship to the body and its political image in Western society. Engaged, his work is full of spirituality and feminism. In her stage, plastic and performance work, she deconstructs standards, the binary genrée construction to denounce patriarchal ultra-liberalism that disincarnates bodies, limits our rights and destroys the planet.

She is interested in fragmented dramaturgy, in the way the ribs tell a story that invites to fill the holes with her own experience, to give a version of the sensitive and subjective history that each one can then feel.

After studying applied arts and scenography, she turned to the arts of art.
scene. She started by working at the stage workshop of the Nancy-Lorraine Opera and then at the Nancy University Theatre as an accessoryist. She continued her studies in theatrical research and dance, then studied directing and scenography in Bordeaux. She attends the directing Gilbert Tiberghien for his latest creation at the TNT and stages his first play, an adaptation of Chekhov's La Mouette.

In 2012 she joined Natacha Roscio and co-founded the Collective Mixeratum Ergo Sum, where she worked for 12 years as a performer, director and plasticist. She created several shows and performances: Piscine Party, musical show in municipal swimming pools, the show I never co-directed with Natacha Roscio, or Anatomies, visual and gesture show on contemporary rites. For 10 years, the Collective Mixeratum is holding a travelling theatre festival at home.·e·s, in rural areas for which she writes and stages plays each year.

In 2025 she left the collective adventure to devote herself fully to her personal research and creations.

At the same time, she carries out visual and performance research in relation to her commitments, including on women's rights and eco-feminism. Since 2017, she has been developing a project of feminist performances committed: Sororae.

From 2016 to 2019, she joined Appendix B, a collective project of artist workshops in Bordeaux, led by MC2A. In 2016 and 2017 she attended the directing Henri Devier at the Gare Mondiale in Bergerac for her performance creation
« An Empty Shack ».

She exhibited at the Mably Court in Bordeaux in May 2018, then at the Feminist and Lesbian Festival Cineffable from October 2020 to January 2021 at the Cité Audacieuse in Paris. In 2022 she exhibited at Les Thétards in Périgueux and then at the LGBTQ+ centre in Paris.

In 2021, she started a project of theatrical triptych on the theme of mental health and the relationship to loneliness, with a first very personal text, "No sound came out of my mouth". She launched the same year on « project 52 Hertz: we are whales », an artistic and social project on the theme of loneliness and alienation. The aim of this project is to write about loneliness from a collection of words through different devices (meetings, workshops, epistolary exchanges...) which will lead to the conception of a multidisciplinary form.
In 2025 she wondered about the grip and harassment and its impact on mental health, a work that would close the triptych poetically.

Since 2021, she has been teaching theatre at the University of Bordeaux and is present at the IRTS in Talence.
